Câu hỏi thường gặp

How can I improve my PTE speaking score?

Start with the question types that count most: Describe Image and Summarize Group Discussion. Speak at a normal pace and volume. Don't stop, because the microphone closes after 3 seconds of silence. Record yourself, then listen back to hear where you pause.

How is PTE speaking scored?

Pearson's scoring engine scores what you say, your pronunciation and your oral fluency. Six question types count towards speaking, and some count more than others. Your speaking score is from 10 to 90, like the other skills.

Which PTE speaking question type is the most important?

Describe Image. It gives about 31 per cent of your speaking score and about 15 per cent of your overall score.

Does my accent affect my PTE speaking score?

No, as long as you're easy to understand. Pearson says your pronunciation must be clear to a regular speaker of English, so you don't need a British, American or Australian accent. In Repeat Sentence, you don't need to copy the speaker's accent either.

Which PTE speaking question types count for listening too?

Repeat Sentence, Re-tell Lecture and Summarize Group Discussion count for both skills. Answer Short Question counts for listening only.

Can I practise PTE speaking for free?

Yes. Read Aloud, Repeat Sentence and Answer Short Question are marked free every time. Describe Image, Re-tell Lecture, Respond to a Situation and Summarize Group Discussion each give you free feedback on your first answer. Pro gives feedback on every answer after that.
